Welcome to "The Age of Acrylic"!

"The Age of Acrylic" describes Global Oceanic Design’s vision of the future of infrastructure development, shipbuilding and all manner of construction on, above and beneath our world’s waters.

For thousands of years, wood was the material of choice for construction projects of all types. From wagons, to houses, to larger buildings and sailing ships, wood was the material of choice for a variety of reasons.

For millennia, wood was the only practical construction material available. Fortunately, it was abundant and easy to work with and wooden structures served their purposes well, even to this day.

Eventually, steelmaking was developed and then improved to the point that steel began to replace wood as the preferred construction material in a wide variety of applications. The myriad advantages of steel – increased strength, longevity and fire resistance, to name but a few – are today, self-evident; compare the most magnificent wooden sailing ship to a modern battleship.

Global Oceanic Designs has a comprehensive vision of the future, "The Age of Acrylic", that ensures today’s most marvelous structures will more closely resemble the wooden sailing ship of yesteryear.

The extraordinary versatility and viability of Global’s Tri- and Bi-Pyramidal Structural Hull designs, combined with related technologies and revolutionary manufacturing processes, will lead to the construction of devices and structures that will last for centuries, not just decades.

In addition to incredible longevity, "The Age of Acrylic" will also enjoy the creation of much larger structures via interconnection of modular components of similar design and will be utilized in almost innumerable forms and myriad applications, from small underwater camera housings and robotic subsea drones to infrastructure level housing, pipeline and transportation projects, even space stations.

It is this developmental capability that will permit humanity to achieve the required paradigm shift from our modern age of scarcity for most, to abundance for all – welcome to "The Age of Acrylic"!
